TERMS AND CONDITIONS – ASICS FUJITRAIL™ Adventure 

DURATION AND ENTRY

The promotion will run from FEBRUARY 10, 2025, TO FEBRUARY 28, 2025 (“Promotion Period”).

PRIZE

The prize consists of covering expenses for 2 winners to go on one (1) trail running adventure each (one adventure per winner), each adventure valued €3,000 to cover planning and execution (e.g. logistics, flights, accommodation). Winners will also receive one SPRING/SUMMER 2025 TRAIL RUNNING KIT (shoes, apparel, and accessories) which are included in the value of the prize. All other expenses are not covered. Countries of adventures will be defined as per applicants' suggestions.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participation is free, no costs necessary for entry. Entry is open during the Promotion Period (inclusive).

All entries received outside of the Promotion Period and those that do not comply with these T&Cs are automatically disqualified.

ASICS FOUNDING PRINCIPLE

ASICS was founded on the belief that movement uplifts your body and mind. It's in our name — 'Anima Sana In Corpore Sano', meaning 'a Sound Mind in a Sound Body'. We believe that running can take your body to incredible places. But where it takes your mind is even more magical.

Our founder, Kihachiro Onitsuka recognised that sport had the power to uplift people’s minds in post-war Japan. And so, he dedicated his life, and our company, to helping both individuals and societies improve their wellbeing through sport. More than 70 years on, we still believe this.

1. ELIGIBILITY

1.1 Legal residents of the participating countries—SPAIN, FRANCE, UK, GERMANY — who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the Promotion. The Promotion is for private purposes only. Directors, officers, management, employees, other staff and the immediate family and household members of those individuals of ASICS, ASICS offices in the participant countries, sales force, Onitsuka Tiger and ASICS Tiger retailers (including their staff), ASICS ambassadors and/or Frontrunners, agencies involved in the development of this Promotion, service providers of ASICS, affiliated companies and other persons involved in the Promotion are not eligible to enter, participate or benefit from this Promotion.

1.2 In order to be eligible to participate in the Promotion and to receive the prize, the participant must fully comply with these general terms and conditions, and by accepting the prize the participant agrees to be bound by these general terms and conditions and the decisions of ASICS, whose decisions shall be binding and final in all respects.

1.3. The same eligibility requirements apply to the chosen travel companion.

2.1 The retail value ("ARV") of one prize is EUR €3,000 per adventure with the total of 2 winners and 2 adventures (one adventure per winner). The prize is subject to any and all applicable terms and conditions of ASICS. Any depictions of prizes are for illustrative purposes only. No transfer, refund, substitution, or replacement of the prize is permitted.

2.2 ASICS reserves the right to extend the number of winners, increase the prize budget, and adjust the number of invitees a winner may bring on the journey based on the applications received on the course of the contest. Winners are allowed to bring one companion for their adventure or to suggest to bring a group of max 5 people. The number of companions will be ultimately defined by ASICS sole discretion. All the companion’s expenses and risks, such as travel and accommodation, must be covered by the winner in full.

2.3 Entry to participation is free; no costs necessary for entry.

2.4 Subject to change, the Promotion will take place on FEBRUARY 10, 2025, TO FEBRUARY 28, 2025.

2.5 The winners will be selected based on the quality and skill in creating the submissions and alignment with ASICS’ founding principle, rooted in the idea that sport has the power to unite people and lift spirits. Winners will be contacted within 7 days after the end of the Promotion Period.

2.6 In the event that ASICS cannot contact a winner, or a winner does not claim the prize and confirm its acceptance in writing within 7 days (5 business days), ASICS reserves the right to select another winner.

2.7 The winners must be able to provide proof of identity and legal residence in the participating country upon acceptance of the prize.

2.8 The winners will be solely responsible for any taxes resulting from winning the prize.

2.9 Winners and their companions will require valid travel documents, including passports and visas where applicable. Health and travel insurance are the responsibility of the winners.

2.10 For the avoidance of doubt, the prize does not include costs not explicitly outlined in these T&Cs, such as additional transportation, meals, and personal expenses.

2.11 Prizes, including funding and trail running kits, will be shared with winners within 2 weeks of their acceptance of the prize. Winners must plan and execute their adventures within the months of MARCH, maximum - APRIL 2025. Any deviation from this timeline must be approved in writing by ASICS.

2.12 Based on the nature of the submitted adventure and the needs to make it happen, ASICS reserves the right to send a content creator to accompany the winner during their adventure to document the experience.

3. PERSONAL DATA

3.1 Any processing of personal data provided by recipients in connection with participation in the ASICS Trail Adventure Sponsorship Contest will be used for administration of the Promotion and awarding of the prize only and is subject to ASICS’ Privacy Policy.

3.2 Except where prohibited or restricted by law, the winner, by claiming and/or accepting the prize, consents and agrees to ASICS and its successors, assigns, transferees, licensees, and sub-licensees, without any of such owing any remuneration to winner, to use, publish, replicate, alter, adapt, modify, broadcast, translate, distribute, and syndicate the recipient’s full name, city and state of residence, photographs or other likenesses, videos, prize claim, pictures, portraits, voice, testimonials, biographical information (in whole or in part), and/or statements made by recipient regarding the Promotion or ASICS or taken during the trip in general, worldwide and in perpetuity for any and all purposes.

4. LIABILITY WAIVER 

4.1 ASICS and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors shall not have any obligation or responsibility, including any responsibility to award the prize to a recipient, with regard to:

(a) prize claims that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with or violate the general terms and conditions;

(b) prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer, human or technical error of any kind;

(c) recipients who have committed fraud or deception in entering or participating in the Promotion or claiming the prize;

(d) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties;

(e) any inability of the recipient to accept the prize for any reason;

(f) if a prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellation, delays or interruptions due to Acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, pandemic, weather or any other similar event beyond ASICS’s reasonable control; or (g) any damages, injuries or losses of any kind caused by the making of the video, the prize or resulting from awarding, acceptance, possession, use, misuse, loss or misdirection of any prize or resulting from participating in this promotion or any promotion or prize related activities.

4.2 The recipient, by claiming and/or accepting the prize, agrees to release and hold harmless ASICS and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury (including emotional distress), illness, health issue, and/or death which may occur in connection with preparation for, or participation in, the Promotion, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of the prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity and for any claims or causes of action based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Insofar as is permitted by the law, ASICS (including its officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage otherwise arising out of or in connection, directly or indirectly, with the Promotion.

4.3 ASICS and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to entrants or to any other person’s computer, regardless of how caused, relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with this Promotion.

4.4 ASICS and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors assume no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage to winner or companion’s personal belongings carried to and from or bought during trip.

4.5 The winner and companion (or companions) assume any and all risks associated to participation and redemption of the prize.

5. MISCELLANEOUS 

5.1. ASICS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual/recipient it finds to be:

(a) tampering with the selection process or the operation of the Promotion, or with any web sites promoting the Promotion;

(b) acting in violation of the general terms and conditions; or

(c) entering or attempting to enter the Promotion multiple times through the use of multiple e-mail addresses or the use of any robotic or automated devices to submit claims.

5.2. If ASICS determines, in its sole discretion, that technical or unforeseen events compromise the integrity or viability of the Promotion, ASICS reserves the right to void the claims at prize at issue, and/or terminate the relevant portion of the Promotion, including the entire Promotion’ promotion. If the Promotion is terminated or modified due to technical difficulties or unforeseen events prior to the expiration date of the Promotion Period, notice will be posted at on [insert website]

6. JURISDICTION AND DISPUTE SETTLEMENT 

6.1. Any claims or complaints regarding this Promotion should be communicated via email to legal-eu@asics.com and running-activations.NL@asics.com Please clearly state your personal details (name and surname) and contact details, the name of the promotional campaign and the subject of the complaint. ASICS Compliance Department will contact you.

6.2. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these general terms and conditions, or the rights and obligations of the recipient or ASICS in connection with the Promotion shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Netherlands. In addition, any dispute relating to the Promotion (including these general terms and conditions) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Amsterdam.

1) Verify that you meet all of the entry eligibility requirements as set forth in the [INSERT link to Terms and Conditions]. Once the prize is awarded, you [and your companion] will need to ensure that you and such companion meet all eligibility requirements.

2) Reply to this email within 5 business days to validly claim the Prize by including the following message in the body of your reply email:

"I, INSERT FULL LEGAL NAME, acknowledge and agree that: (i) I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and the age of majority in my country of residence [NAME OF COUNTRY] as of DATE, (ii) I am not a Director, officer, management, employee, other staff and the immediate family and household members of those individuals of ASICS, ASICS offices in the participant countries, sales force, Onitsuka Tiger and ASICS Tiger retailers (including their staff), ASICS ambassadors and/or Frontrunners, agencies involved in the development of this Promotion, affiliated companies and other person involved in the Promotion (iii) I have read, accepted, complied with and will continue to comply with all of the rules, regulations, terms and conditions set forth in the relevant Terms and Conditions, including any and all releases against any liability for any and all claims, demands, losses and liabilities which I may be entitled to bring as related to the Sweepstakes and/or the Prize, and (iv) that all of the information I have provided and will provide to ASICS has been and will be true, accurate and complete, (iv) my companion also will comply with the Terms and Conditions and is not a person in the list in (ii) above. ”
